Horrible bullying problem with inadequate repercussions. Cell phone use problem interfering with academics and teachers either don’t enforce/don’t care/or are oblivious. Supposed to be the best middle school in the district, but it’s horrendous. I hate to see what the other schools are like.

As a parent, nothing is more fulfilling than seeing your children excel in their education and beyond. At Dutchess Day School, they understand the importance of nurturing young minds with an engaging curriculum and a dedicated faculty that keeps children motivated and eager to learn every day. The balanced approach to education combines strong academic instruction with the arts and physical education, creating well-rounded individuals who are prepared to tackle any challenge that comes their way. I credit my children's preparedness and success in high school and college to the strong, balanced foundation they received at Dutchess Day School.

Hate the principal and would like to see her fired. She doesn't protect your kids like she says. She cares about her Image only. 2 of my kids have been getting bullied at school and she doesn't do anything about it. My daughter got slapped in the face before winter break and the principal denies that she ever got slapped even though I have a witness that saw it.

As a concerned parent deeply invested in my child's educational journey, I feel compelled to share my (more than) disappointing experience with Christian Odessa School. Initially drawn in by promises of academic excellence and a nurturing environment, my child and I quickly discovered that the reality fell far short of expectations. Despite the significant financial investment of nearly $3000 for just 33 days of schooling, the educational experience at Christian Odessa School left much to be desired. Academic standards were shockingly low, with minimal emphasis on actual learning. It became evident that the school's primary focus was not on fostering student growth and development, but rather on preserving its image at any cost. Of particular concern was the school's mishandling of racial incidents and sexual assault. Despite my daughter being subjected to derogatory remarks, the response from the administration was disappointingly inadequate. Even after raising the issue with the head of school, Erin, who was already aware of our family's previous experiences with racial discrimination, there were no meaningful repercussions for the offending student. This failure to address such serious matters undermines the school's professed commitment to diversity and inclusion. Furthermore, the school's disciplinary approach was deeply flawed, with students facing expulsion for expressing legitimate concerns publicly. Such heavy-handed tactics only served to erode trust between the school and its student body. Perhaps most troubling is the school's disregard for financial fairness. Despite my daughter's withdrawal from the school in September, the administration callously refused to refund the unused portion of her scholarship, pocketing an additional $600 without explanation. This blatant prioritization of profit over the well-being of students is unacceptable. In conclusion, I urge parents to exercise caution before enrolling their children in Christian Odessa School. Instead, seek out educational institutions that prioritize genuine learning and student welfare over financial gain. Your child deserves an educational environment where their growth and development are the top priorities

I had to move my daughter from her previous school to Lafayette last year because I felt that she was not getting the education she needed and was behind in some areas. Since she has been at Lafayette, she has flourished socially, academically and emotionally. The areas were she was behind grade level, she is now currently meeting and that is because the teacher at Lafayette truly invest there time to each student that they teach. My decision to change schools was the best decision I ever made with regards to her education.

Was a bit skeptical about sending my child to the PL cluster for Middle School. (Current 5th Grader.) I have been amazed how well my child has done. The changes in leadership were a bit scary at the beginning of the school year, however the team they have in place for long term is going to be great! Excited to see how they shape the next version of Dana. John is a caring and great leader. With his experience and vision, I see this becoming an even better middle school experience for the 5th & 6th graders in PL.

This school is my grandson's first school experience, and I cannot be happier. He absolutely loves going to school. He loves his teacher Ms Megan, who is excellent. He has greatly improved his social skills as he was a stay-a-home child because of the pandemic, and consequently we were concerned about his experience with other children in a school setting. His class is small (9 students), and all of the other parents are very engaged in the school and in their children's education. I am extremely glad with my daughter's choice of Cedarcroft School. What a lovely school it is!!!

In summary, the experience this year has been discouraging. The school requires a comprehensive restructuring of the staff. While there are exceptions among the faculty, with dedicated and empathetic people, these are the minority.

In truth, this is the worst school of my life, I am a current student and I really recommend, parents, that you do not send your children to this school if you do not want them to take drugs, become addicted, there is a lot of drug movement here even in sweets and gummies, the lessons are not good, they do not contribute anything, please do not send your child to this school or you will regret it later.

My child is learning in a meaningful way every single day. She is in kindergarten and comes home excited about her day. Teachers use multimodal teaching strategies to meet students where they are at!
